ER-2 Overview

The version of ALI flown on the ER-2 campaign in the Fall of 2023 had several important changes relative to the satellite instrument.

For a detailed description of the changes see the report: “CDRL No. 14: Simulator Adaptation Report for ALI”. However, some of the major alterations made to the instrument are:

1. AOTF Point spread function was updated with lab measurements.

2. Field of view was updated to account for the larger vertical FOV.

3. AOTF Dispersion was updated with lab measurements.

4. AOTF Diffraction efficiency was updated with lab measurements.

5. Optics were updated to include the periscope mirrors.
